“Our business is built around culture and by putting together a great team." says Ron Hopkins, President and CEO of Base2.

Brea, CA (PRWEB) July 21, 2014

Base2 Solutions has been named one of the 2014 Best Places to Work in Orange County by The Orange County Business Journal.

“We are thrilled and honored to receive this award,” says Tony Moore, Vice President at Base2 who leads the Brea office. “Our people are what make our company truly exceptional, and I am privileged to work with such intelligent and hard-working individuals.”

Base2 is a technology services company offering software development, systems engineering, and information security services to the aerospace, transportation, healthcare, and manufacturing industries. The unique culture has earned high marks in the business journals and on company review websites like Glassdoor.com where it boasts a five out of five in employee satisfaction. Last year, Base2 was named one of Washington’s Best Workplaces by The Puget Sound Business Journal.

The companies making the list this year rose to the top in a two-part evaluation. The first part, worth 25%, consisted of evaluating each company's workplace policies, practices, and demographics. The second part, worth 75%, consisted of an employee survey to measure the employee experience. Best Companies Group conducted the analysis to identify and recognize places of employment that are leading the way in defining the employee experience of the 21st century in Orange County.

“Creating a best workplace culture takes a lot of time that doesn’t immediately and directly tie to the bottom line,” says Ron Hopkins, President and CEO of Base2. “It is very easy to focus on customers and business metrics, and push off activities that build culture. I have to constantly remind myself that creating the best workplace for our team is the most important thing I can do every day.”

Base2 and the other finalists will be featured in a special section of The Orange County Business Journal’s July 28th issue. The awards program was created in 2009 and is a project of The Orange County Business Journal and Best Companies Group.
