Appalachian Trail Adventures (ATA) is excited to announce a new partnership with The Foundry Restaurant. ATA is a unique active vacation and wellness spa for hikers of all abilities, offering daily guided kayaking, caving and hiking adventures in the Green Mountains of Vermont along the Appalachian Trail and the Long Trail.
ATA’s guests are hikers who do not feel comfortable hitting the trails alone. But a few adventurists enjoy traveling solo; therefore, our group atmosphere is a perfect match. ATA’s itineraries provide diverse vacations for single travelers, couples, families, military personnel, women, young professionals, seniors and students. We are perfect destination for people with special dietary restrictions, those seeking a location for a family, friend, school reunion or corporate retreat.
The Foundry Restaurant’s Executive Chef Sean Miller has created a delicious spa menu for ATA hikers who are seeking healthier meals. The menu is able to cater to special dietary restrictions such as vegan, low sugar, sodium-, wheat- and dairy-free options. This enables ATA to accommodate couples, athletes, weight loss vacationers, as well as all those with no dietary restrictions who seek to eat healthily.
Located on the banks of the Summit Pond, The Foundry offers a distinct year-round dining experience. In addition to the ATA hikers’ menu, The Foundry offers two menu options – an American Bistro-Style menu in its formal dining room, as well as a more casual Tavern menu in the bar. Their impeccable chef-driven cuisine provides guests the finest cuts of prime meats, fresh seafood, homemade pastas and much more. They use the freshest ingredients to create mouthwatering appetizers, flavorful side dishes and irresistible desserts – designed to engage all of your senses. The Foundry experience focuses on providing un-paralleled hospitality in a warm and relaxing setting. In addition to its dining options, The Foundry offers live entertainment regularly and is host to many of the area’s events.
ATA’s hikers stay at the Summit Lodge, which is known for its personalized service and two Saint Bernard mascots. Situated on eleven acres, the lodge offers all the cozy, traditional pleasures of a Vermont country inn, along with air-conditioned rooms and a spa for those guests who are looking for massage therapy.
“We provide an affordable all-inclusive active vacation giving a real Vermont outdoor adventure. That's why we have the best vacation at the lowest possible prices. Unlike most spas, ATA's owner John Keough is engaged daily with the guests hiking and kayaking exploring Mother Nature."
ATA offers a number of options to help customize one's vacation. The Hiking Vacation(HV) consist of an air-conditioned room with three daily spa meals, snacks, a guided novice, intermediate or advanced hike, kayaking, an excursion and evening nature- themed movie. The Hiking & Yoga Vacation (HYV) is the same as the HV but in addition offers a daily yoga class. Massages, tennis lessons, cooking demonstrations and nutrition consultations with our Registered Dietitians are available to all guests à la carte.
ATA’s season runs from Memorial Day weekend through Columbus Day weekend.
