SparkCognition, the world’s first Cognitive Security Analytics company, announced that eminent Artificial Intelligence researcher and Chairman of the Department of Computer Science at the University of Texas at Austin, Prof. Bruce Porter, will be joining the company’s Board of Advisors.

“Prof. Porter has a long and highly distinguished career in Artificial Intelligence. He’s done some absolutely amazing work in Knowledge Integration and Explanation Generation. Prof. Bruce Porter has been active in the Artificial Intelligence community since the early 1980s and has made key contributions to numerous areas, such as Expert Systems, Knowledge Representation, Question-Answering Systems and Automated Reasoning. His research publications have been cited over 3,000 times and have generated a lot of recent interest.

Prof. Porter presently serves as the Chairman of the Dept. of Computer Science at UT Austin, one of the country’s top ten Computer Sciences Graduate schools, as rated by U.S. News. He also heads the Knowledge Systems Research Group at the same institution.
