Paige starts off this easy beginner acoustic guitar lesson by briefly performing the song so you can hear what it sounds like. Paige says that to be in the same key as the original song you need to use a capo on the third fret. Paige starts off by going over the chords used in the verse as follows: E, Am (A minor) and Dm (D minor) , strummed as down, down, down, up, down, up, down, up, down, up, counted as 1, 2, 3 e & a, 4, e, &, a. Next Zollars goes over the chords for the chorus as follows: Am, Dm, G and C, played as eighth notes receiving two beats each chord counted as 1, &, 2, &, 3, &, 4, &. A Capo, short for capotasto, which is Italian for “head of fret board”, is a device used on the neck of a fretted instrument to shorten the playable length and raise the pitch.

Maroon 5 is an American pop rock band from Los Angles California. The band formed in 1994 while the band members were still in high school. The band has had some lineup changes since there inception keeping only the vocalist, keyboardist and bassist as original members. Over the course of there career they have released four studio albums and have received three Grammy Awards, three Billboard Awards and three American Music Awards.
