CPAmerica International announces that Tracee Buethner, Widmer Roel PC, and Brian Sullivan, Mueller & Co., LLP, will be the incoming chair and vice chair for the 2015 Accounting and Auditing Conference in Austin.
“As part of a member-driven association, the chair and vice chair have a large role in leading the Accounting and Auditing Executive Committee in the planning of the agenda for the 2015 conference,” said Alan Deichler, president of CPAmerica. “They are responsible for facilitating the committee calls and participating in planning calls.”
The newly appointed chair and vice chair will serve a one-year term that will end in June 2015. Sullivan will serve as chair starting beginning July 2015.
Buethner, as an audit partner for her firm, has extensive experience in supervising engagements, performing audits and providing accounting and consulting services to a wide range of clients. Buethner has previously worked with regional accounting firms and worked as a manager in the internal audit department of a publicly traded company. Widmer Roel PC is an independent CPA firm based in Fargo, N.D. that believes in providing proactive and innovate services tailored to the needs of its clients.
Sullivan joined Mueller & Co., LLP, as a partner in 1999 and specializes in audit, mergers and acquisitions; including due diligence engagements, quality of earnings reporting, Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, internal control analysis, accounting, tax planning, and business management strategic planning. He is a member of the firm’s executive committee, leads their Audit and Assurance Department, and is partner-in-charge of their risk & controls service team. Mueller & Co., LLP, based in Elgin, Ill., is a certified public accounting and business consulting firm that offers a broad range of services for corporations, business owners, executives, and independent professionals in the Chicago metropolitan area.
