Sound Telecom, a leader in the U.S. Business Process Outsourcing arena, has brought a new member onboard to build out their sales department. Thanks to a rising number of leads and growing interest in their telephone answering service in all 50 states, Sound Telecom made the move to enhance their sales staff with the addition of Bruce Valles.
While his title of Sales Consultant is certainly on the traditional side, Bruce could easily be dubbed a relationship manager. Sound Telecom offers free consultations, and it will be his duty to handle many of those requests that come in. His focus for a consultation will be to ask questions, listen, and understand the unique challenges the individual and their company faces. By building relationships and offering honest recommendations, advice, and expertise, Bruce will be able to help customize answering service solutions for each person that wishes to speak with him.
In the past, the roles of sales and marketing have been very different. Marketing was charged with creating awareness, kicking up interest, and bringing in leads, while it has been the objective of a salesperson to convert leads into customers. However, that landscape is evolving and now, for both parties to be successful, they need to work more closely. It has been a dream of Sound Telecom’s President, Michael LaBaw, to bring the Sales and Marketing departments closer together. Mr. LaBaw believes that a salesman needs to think from a marketing standpoint at times and that a marketer isn’t doing their job well if they aren’t taking sales into consideration. Bruce Valles is viewed as an integral player in strengthening the bond between departments.
Sound Telecom’s Marketing Director, Andrew Tillery, emphatically declared, “I’m beyond excited to work with Bruce and bring our departments closer together. Prior to joining the team at Sound Telecom, Bruce had established a strong background in the mortgage and lending arena. His experience working with people to help them reach their goals will transition nicely as he is now tasked with helping people achieve their dreams of growing their businesses. Bruce grew up in the Pacific Northwest, but thanks to his family background and frequent trips to Mexico, he is fluent in Spanish, which will be immensely helpful since Sound Telecom also offers Spanish Answering Services. When Bruce isn’t in the office developing relationships and managing accounts, he enjoys spending time outdoors with his three brothers.
