In-Common Laboratories Announces New Name, Canadian Corporation Status, New Board Chair Appointment and Continuing to Strengthen Acute Care Hospital Laboratory Sector
Toronto, Ontario (PRWEB) July 22, 2014 -- In-Common Laboratories Inc. (ICL), formerly Hospitals In-Common Laboratory Inc. (HICL), announced today that it has received confirmation to formally transition from an Ontario not-for-profit to a Canadian not-for-profit corporation with the business name In-Common Laboratories. This change reflects the company’s mission to take a Canada-wide approach to supporting the public, acute care hospital laboratory sector.
Governed by an independent board, ICL is a not-for-profit diagnostic brokerage company serving Canadians coast-to-coast. ICL’s reference laboratories are primarily hospital-based, providing clinical expertise, technical innovation, best in-class service, and cost effective pricing. Since 1967, ICL has been providing value to clients by improving the clinician and patient experience.
With a commitment to building a strong public hospital system, ICL has a wide network of hospital suppliers and does not have a contractual agreement with any private lab. “At ICL we are committed to returning public dollars to the public system by providing efficient, high-quality logistics management, Client Care, and a technically competent referral network,” said Kris Bailey, CEO. “In recent years, ICL has circulated more than $100 million to publicly funded hospitals and others for work performed throughout the network.”
In recognition of its new name and designation, ICL has launched a new website at http://www.hicl.on.ca.
