North American Title Agency Opens New Hudson County Office, Hires Papasavvas as Branch Manager
Jersey City, N.J. (PRWEB) July 22, 2014 -- Irene Papasavvas, Esq., has joined North American Title Agency (NATA) as branch manager in its new Hudson County office. The new Jersey City location is one of three new branches opening in the state to drive additional business. The company opened an office in Monmouth County in late April and another in Mercer County in early July.
North American Title Agency is the Northeast division of North American Title.
“We are very excited to add Irene to the North American team during this time of tremendous growth,” said Vince Daino, vice president, Northeast division sales manager, North American Title Agency. “Irene brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to the position and as a New Jersey licensed attorney, we feel that she is ideally suited to help lead our growth into the North Jersey and New York marketplaces.”
Hudson County is the fourth most-populous county in the state, with a population of 634,000 as of the 2010 U.S. census. Located in the New York metropolitan area west of the Hudson River, it is the sixth-most densely populated county in the United States, at 13,731 residents per square mile. With excellent access to New York City’s employment centers, the county has a commercial and industrial focus and also serves as a residential hub.
The county’s single-family home median price in June was $262,000, down 6.4 percent from June 2013. The townhouse-condominium market is much more active than single-family market, with 3.7 times the number of closed sales: 291 versus 77. The June 2014 townhome-condo median sales price was $460,000, up 0.1 percent from a year earlier. With fewer new listings coming on the market and slightly fewer closed sales, the inventory of townhouses and condos for sale is 6.2 months, down 20.5 percent from June 2013, indicating more of a sellers’ market. Indeed, in this active urban area, townhouses and condos lasted only 45 days on the market before selling, a 13.5 percent drop from 52 days on the market only a year earlier.
As the new Hudson County branch manager, Papasavvas has 13 years’ experience in the title industry, having established and managed two full-service title agencies and directed a third. She has extensive hands-on experience in all phases of the title process for both residential and commercial properties in both New Jersey and New York. Papasavvas earned a bachelor’s degree from St. John’s University in Staten Island, New York, and her juris doctor from Widener University School of Law in Wilmington, Delaware. She is a licensed title agent in New Jersey.
Papasavvas is located at the North American Title Agency branch at 101 Hudson St., Suite 2100, Jersey City, NJ 07302, telephone number (908) 217-5945.
