Wilmington Trust is expanding its corporate trust business with three strategic hires. Julie Balerna, Clay Cardozo, and Deb Daniello have joined the firm’s Boston office. The three most recently worked as a team at BNY Mellon.

“The addition of this A-team to our corporate trust group is a big score,” said Jack Beeson, head of Wilmington Trust’s Global Capital Markets Group. “This team already has a long and successful track record in the New England region. We’re eager to utilize and build on their experience as we continue growing our corporate trust business across the U.S.”

“We look at the New England market as thriving, and a region in which we want to compete and deliver our successful single point of contact model,” added Rob Brown, group leader for Wilmington’s Public Finance and Agency Group.

She earned a bachelor’s degree from Brown University, and is active in the school’s alumni association. Balerna also serves on the board of Boston Women in Public Finance, a professional networking and educational organization for women working in municipal finance in the New England region.
