Boost Software Honors Associate Director of PR

Boost® Software recently recognized its Director of PR & Media at its spring quarterly meeting in Boston, MA. She was one of two award recipients this quarter, recognized for filling a multitude of roles and contributing significantly more time and energy than required as a member of management.

Boost Software recently awarded its Associate Director of PR & Media, Erin Walsh, with an official award and plaque. The award was entitled, “Recognition of Outstanding Work and Going the Extra Mile.”

“It's hard to award Erin for just one thing,” says Amit Mehta, co-founder and co-CEO of Boost Software. “She wears so many different hats at this company, and does a multitude of things very well.”

While the company's founders recognized all of the company's ever-growing team for the work they've done, they gave out only two awards at this meeting. The other award went to Roberto Fusco, Boost Software's Senior Development Manager in Italy.

“Erin doesn't just handle our PR and SEO,” says Peter Dunbar, co-founder and co-CEO of the company. “She facilitates communication between key departments and key team members. She works with our affiliate program, and often makes initial and ongoing contact with affiliate networks and ad partners—not just with media outlets, like most PR directors.”

Walsh also manages a QA and Product Research Team; monitors all white-labeling of the company's products; monitors affiliate compliance and trademark compliance; and acts as contact for media outlets as well as industry organizations.

She also directs the company's Facebook & Twitter presences, and networks with private, semi-professional, and professional bloggers. She has instituted a number of contests and other consumer-engagement events.

Walsh has developed a comprehensive sweepstakes marketing campaign that has visibly influenced the Affiliate Marketing world. She will share more details in an article at Feedfront Magazine issue 27.

“There's very little time to catch my breath,” says Walsh. “But I love what I do.”

Walsh has worked with Mehta and Boost Software as a contractor since 2009. She became an official employee of the company in January 2013. Although her title says “Associate,” she is the sole member of management responsible for PR, SEO, and content Marketing. Where does she see the company going in the future?

“Boost Software is a force to be reckoned with,” says Walsh. “We don't stop at good enough. Our goal is for people to know that they have a visible improvement in their computer's performance. You can expect more products from us, but we don't plan on doing it all. We plan on doing it the best.”

Walsh has worked as a travel agent, ship’s chef, and a copywriter for a mortgage & IRA firm in Las Vegas. She also helped start an SEO & Local Search company in Las Vegas. While she no longer lives in Las Vegas or works for the company, she maintains close ties with the agency's other founders. In her spare time Walsh enjoys cycling, yoga, crochet, knitting, organic gardening, and time with her family.
