2014 Litigator Award Nominations Commence
BELLEVUE, WA (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- The Trial Lawyers Board of Regents has officially commenced the process of Nominating & Certifying Trial Lawyers firms for the coveted 2014 Litigator Awards™.
Justly standing as the nation’s most coveted symbol of “Litigation Achievement”, this unrivaled annual honor is conferred for extraordinary litigation achievement. The 2014 Litigator Awards™ will be presented in up to 72 “Practice Specialty” categories. Based strictly on “Verdict & Settlement” dollar achievement rather than peer popularity, the Awards are perhaps the most rigorous and openly judged trial law rating in the nation. Simply being nominated is to be set among the elite of the profession.
To be Award Eligible, Nominees must prove achievement of litigation “Performance Benchmarks” within one or more of 72 pre-defined “Practice Specialty” categories that include not less than:
a. Two verified “Verdicts or Settlements” of at-least $1 Million Dollars in any one Practice Specialty category within the preceding 5 year period prior to Nomination, or
b. One verified “Verdict or Settlement” of at-least $5 Million Dollars in any one Practice Specialty category within the preceding 10 year period prior to Nomination, or
c. One verified “Verdict or Settlement” of at-least $10 Million Dollars in any one Practice Specialty category within the preceding 20 year period prior to Nomination.
It is a feat achieved by fewer then 1% of all Lawyers, and truly a testament to each Award Recipient’s remarkable performance relative to peers. Of nearly 1.1 Million lawyers considered, only a select few (about 12 Law Firms) per State or DMA, will achieve the distinction of being awarded annually in any given Practice Specialty**.
Winning a 2014 Litigator Award is a “Powerful Endorsement” of superior litigation achievement that provides discerning clientele (as well as referring professionals) with a strong reason to trust their case to an award winner. Moreover, it offers a testament to every award winner’s remarkable performance relative to peers differentiating each from pretenders.
The Nomination & Certification process is conducted annually on a rolling basis across a range of core Practice Specialties Categories. Independent audit & research teams undertake an exhaustive vetting process to screen and evaluate Nominees based on their demonstrated litigation in achievement in Jury Trials, Trials before the Court, and/or Appellate Practice. This proprietary performance-based approach is reliable and unbiased, as it relies strictly on actual Verdict & Settlement dollar outcome data.
To ensure a constant adherence to the exacting standards of the Board, the selection of award recipients is designed to be dynamic and to change annually to reflect the latest “Verdicts & Settlements” taken by Trial Lawyers in the United States.

** In the States of Connecticut, Delaware, Hawaii, Idaho, Maine, Maryland, Montana, Nebraska, New Hampshire, New Mexico, North Dakota, Oklahoma, Oregon, Rhode Island, Utah, Vermont, Virginia, West Virginia, Wyoming, and the District of Columbia, Litigator Awards™ may be conferred annually to 12 or more law firms in any given Practice Specialty. All other States are divided into multiple Designated Market Areas (“DMA”) as defined by the Board. In States divided into multiple DMA’s, Litigator Awards™ may be conferred annually to 12 or more law firms in any given Practice Specialty.
