New Report Analyzes Popular Accounts Receivable Management Strategies in Small and Medium-Sized Businesses
Chardon, Ohio (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- Today e2b teknologies, publishers of Anytime Collect accounts receivable management software, announced the availability of a new report featuring results from a 2014 survey that explores accounts receivable strategies and tools being used by small and medium-sized businesses (SMBs), their effectiveness, and how they impact profit and growth in the B2B midmarket.
“As publishers of A/R management software and long-time members of the manufacturing, distribution, and services industries, we’ve worked with companies of various shapes and sizes who struggle with timely invoice collection,” said James Mallory, Solution Sales Engineer at e2b teknologies. “What we continue to see is companies struggling because they rely on tools and tactics that do more harm than good. So, we began to wonder, ‘how prevalent is this problem among midmarket companies, and how is it impacting their ability to grow?’ To this end, we developed our survey.”
The survey was distributed to companies across various industries using popular midmarket accounting and ERP products from Intuit, Sage, Microsoft, and others. A large portion of respondents to the survey were companies in the manufacturing, distribution, and service industries.
“Our study revealed an alarmingly high percentage of SMB companies in the B2B sector are not using the right tools or the right tactics for optimized receivables,” said Mallory. “Considering that accounts receivable is usually among a company’s most important assets and most available source of working capital, these findings do not bode well for midmarket B2B’s trying to grow their business and profits. This survey made it quite clear that most companies in this sector truly are working harder, not smarter when it comes to accounts receivable- and they’re paying for it.”
The results of the survey are published in a report outlining the parameters of the survey with an in-depth explanation of the findings and what they mean for B2B’s in the midmarket. e2b teknologies will continue to distribute the survey and update the report as additional data becomes available.
