Sedona, Arizona (PRWEB) July 24, 2014

The sixth annual Sedona/Verde Valley LGBT Pride Festival, titled Free2BU, will span four days from September 25-28, 2014. An Arizona Pride event not to be missed, festivities begin on Thursday at the Mary Fisher Theater in Sedona with a “Mix and Mingle Soiree” beginning at 6pm.

While more festival activities are planned throughout the region, the Old Town Activities Field (in Old Town Cottonwood, AZ) will be the site of the headline festival events on Saturday, September 27, 2014 from 11am to 6pm including the LGBT ‘Wall of History’. Special events happening before or after the day of the Festival include: a brunch with the Sisters of Perpetual Indulgence, Pride Victory Garden tours, a fashion show fundraiser and more.

The entertainment line-up includes Mountain Stranded Time, Sister Lip, The Sugar Thieves, and other local favorites. Clayton McKee returns as Master of Ceremonies, drawing followers from Phoenix, Arizona and beyond.

From its inception in 2008, the Sedona/Verde Valley LGBT Pride Festival has grown tremendously. Attended by approximately 1,200 participants in 2013, attendees are expected to double in 2014. Located approximately two hours from Phoenix, Sedona and the Verde Valley are home to a vibrant arts scene and typical autumn temperatures of 72-80 degrees. Spaces are filling up for vendors seeking a booth at the festival. To participate, applications must be submitted by August 15, 2014.

“The 2014 Sedona/Verde Valley Pride celebration is going to be outrageous this year,” states Pride President, Myss Miranda. “We can’t wait to share the extended weekend with our Northern Arizona locals and visitors from across the globe!”
