Vinyl Supply Durability and Toughness Showcased in Graphic Products YouTube Video
Portland, OR (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- In about a minute, the viewer sees how a label applied to an electrical panel withstands snow, summer heat, rain, dirt, grime, and chemicals. All of these threats undermine the integrity of signage and safety in the workplace.

Created in-house, the video features a combination of live footage, stills, 3D animation, and particle effects. One of the challenges of the shoot was creating a seamless transition from the live footage into the 3D label application/curing shot.
The weather sequence was done using camera projection, a technique commonly used in feature films, which takes a two dimensional image, and converts it into a three dimensional element. The team used Cinema 4D R15 Broadcast Edition graphics for all the 3D shots including planetary surfaces, label applications, and weather shots.
“We needed to simulate a dolly move, and the only way we could do this convincingly was with a camera projection. Once the 2D image was converted to 3D, we went in and added a dolly move, snow, rain, wet pavement and other elements. This was the first time that camera projection was used in a video spot,” said Steve Stephenson, Graphic Products. “The video effectively demonstrates our tough test labeling supplies to users in the mining, petroleum, pulp & paper, and automotive industries.”
With HD camera work, voice over, music, and animated elements, the video takes visual communication learning to a whole new level while showcasing label applications in extreme environments.
