The Appointment, Promotion and Tenure Committee of the Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) announced the appointment of Dr. Ram K. Reddy as the Assistant Professor in the Department of Geriatrics. This is a part-time, three year clinical track appointment effective June 11, 2014. Dr. Reddy was chosen for his ongoing commitment to teaching and his outstanding professional and ethical behavior. Jan M. Wilcox, Vice Dean of the Virginia Campus, commended Dr. Reddy in the nomination letter stating, “Our Committee extends a sincere thank you for your contribution to VCOM and medical student education.”
Dr. Ram K. Reddy, CEO and Medical Director of Reddy & Associates, provides leadership and vision to Reddy Medical Group, Reddy Urgent Care and Yuva Medical Spa. He started his medical career by opening his first Clinic in Royston, Georgia in 1984. Subsequently he has added primary care and urgent care clinics in Danielsville and Athens. In 2012, he announced his aggressive vision of adding one clinic each year. This resulted in the opening of Reddy Urgent Care in Hartwell, GA and the newest addition, “Reddy Urgent Care Monroe” in Monroe, Georgia in May. Today, Reddy & Associates operates clinics in five Georgia counties.
This year Dr. Ram K. Reddy was also honored with the 2013 Georgia Rural Health Association Award of Excellence for outstanding rural health practice, as well as the Outstanding Practitioner award. Dr. Ram K. Reddy is well respected in the medical community and admired by his employees and friends as a man of vision with a heart of gold. Reddy & Associates’ staff joins in congratulating him on his new appointment.
