ma Cares, Guilford College Chick-fil-A & Great Harvest Bread Company Team up to Provide School Supplies for Pathways
Greensboro, NC (PRWEB) July 23, 2014 -- ma Cares invites the community to join us as we collect school supplies for the children who are living at Pathways Center.
Pathways Center is a division of Greensboro Urban Ministry whose purpose is to offer safe, temporary shelter to homeless families while they are looking for other housing. The Center houses 16 families. The children who are residents there are in need of school supplies so they can start the year on the right foot.
“For most of these families, finding a place to live is their top priority. Knowing that their children will have the things they need for school really helps to lessen the burden for these parents,” said Susan Taylor from Pathways.
Guilford College Chick-fil-A is getting into the spirit of things too. Visit their newly renovated 5901 West Friendly Avenue location July 21st through August 11th, bring at least 5 items from the wish list below and get a coupon for a free Chick-fil-A Chicken Sandwich.
Great Harvest Bread Company is also joining us in supporting the children this year and has a collection box at their 2715 Grandview Ave, Greensboro, NC 27408 location (in Friendly Center) through August 11th. Those who donate $5 worth of school supplies will receive a buy one, get one card that can be used for a cookie, muffin, loaf of bread or any item they bake in the store. Those who bring $20 worth of school supplies (or more!) will receive a free loaf of Daily Bread (Honey, Golden, or White).

New 1 ½ Inch Notebooks, 3 Inch Notebooks, Marble Composition Books, Packs of Crayons, Markers, Pens – Blue, Black, Red, Index Cards, Erasers, Rulers, Packs of Pencils, Pencil Sharpeners, Kleenex, Packs of Glue Sticks, Packs of Highlighters, Fiskars Scissors, Pocket Folders, 3-ring Binders, Clear Pencil Cases, Antibacterial Santitizer, Boxes of Ziploc-type Baggies (all Sizes), Paper Towels, Dry-erase Markers, Post-it Notes, Book Bags
