University of Evansville Listed as One of 50 Great Affordable Colleges in the Midwest
Evansville, Ind. (PRWEB) July 24, 2014 -- The University of Evansville has been recognized as one of 50 Great Affordable Colleges in the Midwest by Great Value Colleges. UE was ranked third in the Private School category.
Since its creation several years ago, Great Value Colleges has helped potential college students find the best degree for them, the top place to get their degrees, career options for after graduation and resources for degrees and careers.
Great Value Colleges uses eight quality indicators to measure a student’s potential experience at an institution. They are: graduation rate, freshmen retention rate, student-to-faculty ratio, percentage of classes taught by graduate assistants, average entrance ACT score, number of campus organizations and number of academic programs. All of these indicators are weighted equally. Great Value Colleges also considers a school’s ranking by Forbes, which focuses on what a student gets out of his or her college experience. Another important consideration is a school’s affordability.
