Dr. Lawrence Duffy recently welcomed a new general practitioner to the Center for Dental Anesthesia in Orlando, FL. As the team’s most recent addition, Kyle Duffy, DMD, looks forward to joining his father and providing comprehensive and compassionate dental care to patients at the established Orlando practice.

After completing a Master’s in Molecular and Microbiology at the University of Central Florida in 2010, Dr. Kyle Duffy relocated to Phoenix, AZ to fulfill the requisites of his Doctor of Dental Medicine at Midwestern University. Following his graduation from dental school, Dr. Duffy returned to his hometown of Orlando and reunited with his father at the Center for Dental Anesthesia. Once he has finished his advanced training in sedation dentistry and general anesthesia, Dr. Duffy will also offer sedation options like general anesthesia, and IV sedation to patients who qualify for such procedures, such as those who struggle with dental anxiety or have special needs.

Special needs dentistry plays a fundamental role in the services at the Center for Dental Anesthesia, where the team strives to provide compassionate and comprehensive care to patients whose physical, behavioral, or emotional challenges make it difficult for them to sit or feel comfortable in a dental chair. Children and adults with who may require special needs dentistry include those with conditions like autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, schizophrenia, and hydrocephalus. Drs. Lawrence and Kyle Duffy are proud to contribute to the Threshold Center for Autism, an organization in the Central Florida region that delivers affordable medical and dental care to adults and children with a wide variety of physical and intellectual disabilities.
