Terre à Terre kicks off its summertime Green Series as part of its commitment to sustainability and “being green” with The Do’s and Don’ts of Garden and Landscape Design. Join one of the area's top landscape designers for this light and humorous review of "what not to do" and "what to do" to create a beautiful outdoor design while being kind to Mother Earth. Guests can bring their own garden dilemmas to share and troubleshoot. Presentation and small plates featuring herbs, ornamentals, and small crops grown in the restaurant's garden.
WHO:
Mary Stone of Stone Associates Landscape Design is an accomplished speaker, columnist, and blogger. Her weekly column published in THE PRESS, ‘Garden Dilemmas? Ask Mary,’ began in 2012, and her blog http://askmarystone.com/ is an interactive forum that allows visitors to ask their most challenging garden questions and for Mary to share encouragement in garden and personal delights and discoveries.
The event is co-sponsored by the Carlstadt Green Team, a community of volunteers registered with Sustainable Jersey http://www.sustainablejersey.com/. Green Teams provide the leadership to develop plans, implement programs, and assist with educational opportunities that support the creation of a sustainable community.
