Amir Ladan Is Recognized by the Supreme Court for Pro Bono Work in 2013
Orlando, FL (PRWEB) July 25, 2014 -- Amir Ladan, owner of The Ladan Law Firm, P.A. in Orlando, FL, was recently recognized by the Supreme Court of Florida for his exceptional pro bono service in 2013. Both the Florida Bar Association and voluntary bar organizations such as the Orange County Bar Association encourage lawyers to give back to the community through pro bono legal services.
Although the recognition came as a surprise to Amir, it should come as no surprise to those that know his heart for the community where he lives and works. Amir is known for having a positive influence on his community. Personally, he is actively involved in the Rotary Club of Seminole County Sunset, through which he is proud to give back to those in need. Professionally, his firm hosts events benefitting those in need, such as their annual Happy Hour toy drive which benefits local families in need at the holidays. Over the years, the firm has collected hundreds of toys for local kids to who otherwise wouldn’t receive presents at the holidays. It’s easy to see how the act of donating his time as a criminal defense attorney is far from being out of character.
This recognition came from not only the Supreme Court of Florida but also the Young Lawyers Division of the Florida Bar, and the Florida Pro Bono Coordinators Association. In the formal letter acknowledging his efforts, Chief Justice Ricky Polston stated “The Practice of law is a privilege that carries with it certain responsibilities and obligations to our society and to our democracy. We thank you for giving freely and unselfishly of your time and legal talent to represent the poor, the powerless, the defenseless, and the oppressed among us. Your work helps to fulfill the promise of equal justice for all.”
The Ladan Law Firm takes great pride in Amir’s efforts in the legal community and beyond. Founded in 2001, The Ladan Law Firm, P.A. is an established criminal law firm in Orlando with a satellite office in Osceola County and an office available by appointment in Seminole County.
