Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 26, 2014
The SOLEX College Physical Therapist Assistant (PTA) Program is now an accredited program in the city of Chicago as of April 2014 following a decision made by the Commission on Accreditation in Physical Therapy Education (CAPTE). The college started the accreditation process in Spring of 2011. Students graduate with an AAS in Physical Therapist Assistant.
SOLEX College’s PTA Program is located in the heart of downtown Chicago at the Loop Campus on 17 N. State Street. The PTA Program is a full-time day program. Selective admission into the Program occurs each year in the early fall. There is currently no waiting list for students applying for the January 2015 program start. The Program is currently accepting applications up until the application deadline, August 29th 2014.
The PTA Program requires students complete two clinical education placements throughout the duration of the program. The clinical sites are located within the city of Chicago and the surrounding suburbs.
Currently, SOLEX has clinical affiliation contracts with a variety of physical therapy practice settings in which students can complete their clinical rotations.
Class sizes are small at SOLEX College to ensure students have one-on-one time with faculty members. PTA faculty are all Physical Therapists with many years of experience in their field.
Students wishing to apply to SOLEX College’s PTA Program should contact Erica, the PTA Admissions Specialist, in order to receive an application by phone 847-229-9595 or email emeares(at)solex(dot)edu.
