The USPTO publication US 20140183977 A1 July 3, 2014 describes ADVS-Technologies’ Plug-n-Power™ distribution of power and communications for residential, commercial, industrial applications, and for electro-mechanical devices and computer systems.

“It is obvious”, continues Braunstein, “that in the near future the illumination of residential and commercial buildings will be based entirely on LED’s, which are DC powered devices. The Plug-n-Power™ AC and DC distribution systems will effectively support this trend, not only contributing significantly to further reduction in installation and operating costs, but also improving safety and reliability of the system.”

“The patent pending Plug-n-Power™ AC and DC distribution systems”, concludes Braunstein, “are excellent tools, which will improve our environment by reducing waste, increasing efficiency, improving safety and extending reliability. As an example: for a residential housing development project consisting of several floor models, an AC-DC Plug-n-Power™ distribution kit configured for each model, will be delivered directly to the construction site of the respective model. The complete installation and testing of the Plug-n-Power™ AC and DC distribution system for each model would take hours (not days), ensuring superior level of quality and reliability, outperforming existing methods in every aspect of business and technology!”

Among other great features, the invention provides convenient DC Plug-n-Power™ distribution with auto-backup feature using stand-by DC power sources such as batteries. When there is a power outage, selected LED illumination devices and other DC powered devices, connected to DC Plug-n-Power™ backup network, will be automatically connected to the stand-by power source and remain fully operational.
