Mathseeds Releases Highly Anticipated New Lessons in Their Breakthrough Online Math Program
(PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Mathseeds, the online math program designed to develop core skills in math and problem solving for children between the ages of 3 and 6, has expanded its content to include 5 highly engaging new math lessons.
With the release of ‘Map 17’, Mathseeds now has 85 lessons to delight and entertain young children while learning essential math concepts. While the early lessons of the program are suitable for preschoolers, the lessons in Map 17 are designed for children in Grade 1.
The new content makes up a much anticipated addition to the program’s existing repertoire of 80 self-paced and interactive math lessons designed to be fun and highly motivating for beginner math learners. The lessons follow a carefully designed sequence that travels through different map locations where children are greeted with new characters, vibrant animations and catchy music.
The additional lessons build upon the mathematical concepts introduced in the first 80 lessons of the program. Lessons 81-85 teach children to build new number skills involving counting and identifying numbers that come before and after a given number. Children are taught to use a range of strategies for adding and subtracting more efficiently, and explore new concepts of chance and probability.
Each Mathseeds lesson contains 9 activities that children complete at their own pace, with multiple rewards to keep children motivated to continue progressing through the program. All Mathseeds lessons can be repeated as often as necessary so children can revise skills. At the end of each map (5 lessons), children complete a multiple-choice quiz. If they pass, they are awarded with a certificate that can be printed out as a reminder of their success. Parents are provided with a dashboard to track their child’s progress.
