Jacksonville Stadium Sleepover London-Bound
Jacksonville, Florida (PRWEB) July 25, 2014 -- A container filled with 100 bed sets and NFL Jacksonville Jaguars linens was sent to London, England. The shipment was the first step in bringing Ashley Furniture HomeStore-Jacksonville’s “A Hope to Dream” program to children in Great Britain who do not have beds in which to sleep. The beds will be set up in London’s famed Wembley Stadium in August when 100 children and their chaperones will join members of the Jacksonville Jaguars and Ashley Furniture HomeStore teams for the first Stadium Sleepover ever held at Wembley!
The idea for the Jacksonville Jaguars and Ashley Furniture HomeStore to partner on the project grew from the success of last year’s inaugural “A Hope to Dream” Stadium Sleepover at Everbank Field in Jacksonville, Florida. Jaguars Head Coach Gus Bradley, his family, and Ashley Furniture HomeStore-Jacksonville CEO and Managing Member Howard Fineman hosted 50 children and their parents for the first ever sleepover at Everbank. The children and their families were stunned to learn that the beds used for the sleepover would be delivered to the children’s homes the next day. Fineman says, with the Jaguars now growing a fan base in the U.K., Ashley Furniture HomeStore is delighted to support the team’s efforts in their overseas community.
“Our first ‘A Hope to Dream’ sleepover made it clear just how much these beds mean to the kids and their families. It is a privilege to see the commitment that Gus and Michaela Bradley and the Jaguars gave to our ‘A Hope to Dream’ program; so with the Jaguars extending their Jacksonville brand in the U.K. we’re honored to extend Ashley Furniture HomeStore-Jacksonville’s ‘A Hope to Dream’ program to children there, as well.”
This year’s Second Annual “A Hope to Dream” Stadium Sleepover at Everbank Field in Jacksonville will take place August 1, 2014 for 100 children and their parents. The inaugural “A Hope to Dream” Stadium Sleepover at Wembley Stadium in London will take place August 30, 2014.
The “A Hope to Dream” program began with Howard Fineman’s Ashley Furniture HomeStore in Jacksonville in 2010. Since then the program has spread across the country and has donated more than 10,000 Ashley Sleep mattress sets to children in need. Fineman, CEO and Managing Member credits the program’s success to Ashley Furniture HomeStore’s customers because a portion of the proceeds of every purchase of a mattress at a local Ashley Furniture HomeStore pays for a mattress set for a child in need. Families who need beds are nominated by friends, family and social service agencies. If you know of a child who needs a bed you can submit your nomination at any Ashley Furniture HomeStore’s showroom on the First Coast, or online at http://www.ahopetodream.com.
