American Brain Tumor Association Recruits Director to Lead New Volunteer Network
Chicago, IL (PRWEB) July 25, 2014 -- The American Brain Tumor Association (ABTA) announced today that Sue Ward, most recently Talent Development Trainer of Distinguished Events, and Corporate and Special Events Manager - Partnerships and Experience for the American Cancer Society, will be joining the ABTA in the newly created position of Director, National Volunteer Programs. Ward will oversee the roll out of a nationwide brain tumor volunteer effort called the ABTA CommYOUnity™.
The recently launched volunteer network will provide the Chicago-based ABTA with a stronger local presence in communities nationwide. “We are pleased to have Sue join our organization to lead this exciting new initiative. I am confident the ABTA and our constituents will benefit from her expertise in building relationships and working with volunteers to enhance their experiences,” said Elizabeth M. Wilson, MNA, president and CEO, American Brain Tumor Association.
Ward will join the ABTA in August from the American Cancer Society where she focused on training, strategic planning, volunteer development, partnerships, and fundraising.
