Gilbane Building Company, a global leader in construction services, announced today Michael Costello has joined the leadership team as a Senior Vice President - Finance and Treasurer. He will be based out of the company’s Providence headquarters and will lead the Finance organization for the company.
Costello joins Gilbane after six years with AECOM, Inc. where he directed the finance and strategic planning functions for the company’s $1.3 billion global design, architecture, building engineering and construction cost management consulting division with more than 10,000 employees. In addition to AECOM, Costello has held a series of senior executive positions throughout his career including twelve years in several senior financial roles with the Federal Express Corporation in Asia and Latin America. Prior to his tenure at Federal Express, Costello managed financial planning and analysis for Target Corporation and the Eastman Kodak Company.

Costello holds a M.B.A. in Finance from Cal Poly San Luis Obispo and a Bachelor’s in Psychology from California State University. He is also a Certified Public Accountant.
