Keith Trowbridge of Executive Quest, Inc. to Attend September Canadian Resort Conference in Toronto
Fort Myers, FL (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Keith W. Trowbridge, Ph.D., President and CEO of Executive Quest, Inc., http://www.execq.com, an executive search firm specializing in the timeshare/vacation ownership industry, will be attending the upcoming Canadian Resort Conference, http://www.crda.org, September 23 and 24, 2014. “I support the timeshare/vacation ownership industry worldwide,” said Trowbridge, “but I’ve shared my life and my career mostly between Canada and the United States.”
Trowbridge hails from Sarnia, Canada, and his wife Doris from Winnipeg. He got involved with the timeshare industry as a developer, and several of Trowbridge’s projects were in Canada: the Club Mont Ste. Anne in Quebec, Whistler Inn Resort & Club on Whistler Mountain in BC, Horseshoe Valley Resort in Barrie, Ontario, and Falcon Lake Resort & Club in Manitoba, Canada.
A U.S. citizen today, Trowbridge earned his Ph.D. at the University of Michigan and moved to Florida by the late 60’s as part of the team that founded Florida International University in Miami. He started developing motel/condo projects in Sanibel, FL, and by 1974 he had pioneer timesharing in North America with the development of the first purpose-built interval ownership resort in the United States, the Sanibel Beach Club on Sanibel Island. Trowbridge went on to develop a total of 17 resorts and marketed an additional 18 in Canada, USA, and the Caribbean for a total of 35 before he retired in 1996. Two years later, however, with 22 years in timeshare development, Trowbridge found himself tugged back into service to the timeshare industry because he knew so many industry people. He founded his current-day headhunting firm, Executive Quest, Inc., which specializes in executive placements in the timeshare/vacation ownership industry.
The Canadian Resort Conference, http://www.crda.org, similar to the US ARDA conference, will be held September 23-24, 2014 in the Pantages, a Skyline Hotel that is just steps away from Downtown Toronto’s art, entertainment and shopping districts, http://www.toronto.com, and is considered among the leading boutique hotels in the city. This year’s annual conference will be a two-day event comprised of a half day networking activity and a day and a half of debates and educational sessions. Confirmed speakers include Jon Zwickel, President and CEO of CRDA, John Small, Chairman of ResortCom International, Jim Madrid, CEO of Advance Corporate Technology, and Mark McCullough with TripAdvisor.
