Riverside Research Proudly Welcomes USGIF Chairman and Former NRO Director Jeffrey K. Harris to Board of Trustees
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- Riverside Research, a leading technical advisor in the development and application of full-spectrum Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR) capabilities, is honored to announce the election of Mr. Jeffrey K. Harris to its Board of Trustees. Harris has contributed to the advancement of US national security capabilities across both government and industry for 39 years and is the Chairman of the United States Geospatial Intelligence Foundation’s (USGIF) Board of Directors.
Harris has extensive experience as an aerospace, defense, and intelligence expert, and is the CEO of JKH Consulting. Prior to his career in the private sector, Harris provided direct support to both the US Secretary of Defense and the Director of Central Intelligence in several senior national leadership positions, including Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Space, Director of the National Reconnaissance Office (NRO), and Associate Executive Director of the Intelligence Community Management Staff.

Harris is a member of the US Strategic Command’s (USSTRATCOM) Strategic Advisory Group, the Sandia Intelligence Advisory Panel, and the National Security Agency Advisory Board (acquisition), and is the Chairman of the Open Geospatial Consortium, an international standards organization. He is also a Trustee of the Rochester Institute of Technology, his alma mater, and serves on several corporate boards.
Harris has received numerous awards, notably the National Intelligence Distinguished Service Medal, the CIA Distinguished Service Medal, the NRO Medal for Distinguished Service, the US Geospatial Intelligence Foundation Lifetime Achievement Award, Aviation Week Laureate Citation, NDIA’s Peter B. Teets space industry achievement award, and the James V. Hartinger Award for military space achievement.
