'Offloading that effort from our clients’ overburdened EDI/IT teams is a big win. At the same time we can offer our clients significant savings for the use of the electronic product catalogue.' - David Matsil, President of Sales and Marketing

Enhanced Retail Solutions (ERS) and InterTrade Systems announced an initiative last May to offer an end-to-end EDI Point Of Sale (POS) solution to ERS clients, including the set up and delivery of the EDI 852 POS document. ERS' broad customer base of manufacturers and retailers can now collaborate seamlessly by integrating a multitude of data points providing deeper visibility of sales trends and inventory position. Manufacturers have been able to aggregate sales data from its retail partners’ data sources such as spreadsheets, portal data and 852 EDI documents. These vendors then analyze that data with a suite of best practice reporting along with dashboards and ad hoc reporting via ERS' business intelligence tool. A separate module enables retail door level replenishment as well as wholesale inventory forecasting. Retailers on the ERS platform can see their store's inventory position alongside their vendor's wholesale position.

InterTrade’s electronic product catalogue makes it simple for suppliers to share their product data with retailers. The numerous benefits of using a product catalog include: more efficient purchasing process, automation and integration with the trading partners’ back-end systems (less manual intervention and paperwork), and increased visibility. InterTrade’s ecCatalogue affords users the latest technology and friendliest interface available with the most competitive pricing.

As part of the initiative, ERS clients receive even lower rates and free set up.

ERS can access the same product description information that is shared with vendors’ retail partners by using InterTrade’s catalogue. Images are being requested via the same catalogue more frequently now that retailers are building an omnichannel approach to retail.

“Offloading that effort from our clients’ overburdened EDI/IT teams is a big win,” says, David Matsil, President of Sales and Marketing. “At the same time we can offer our clients significant savings for the use of the electronic product catalogue.”
