MediaClone, Inc. Introduces A High Speed Portable Computer Forensic Imaging Unit and a Platform to Run a Field Triage Application
Reseda, CA (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- The SuperImager™ 7" Mini is an affordable, very compact, and easy to carry unit. It is extremely fast, built with a 7” Touch Screen color LCD display, 3 SATA ports, 4 USB3.0 ports, one 1GbE port, and one VGA port. The unit performs up to 26GB/Min with SSD drives. The User Interface is designed with simple icons to take advantage of the touch screen and is very easy to use. The application has all the basic Forensic Imaging features and capabilities and can capture data from one SATA hard disk drive and save Forensic Images simultaneously onto 2 Evidence hard disk drives (1:2), or can capture data from 2 USB 3.0 storage devices in parallel and save the Forensic Images onto 2 USB 3.0 Storage devices (2:2). With ONE PASS read-over, the “Suspect” hard disk drive application can achieve the following: Forensic Imaging with E01 compressed file format, calculate 3 Hash values simultaneously (MD5, SHA-1, SHA-2), Encrypt the captured data, perform basic binary Keyword Searches and instantly report the results, and save captured data onto 3 locations at the same time (2 Evidence HDD and network folder). The application also supports capture from network via iSCSI protocol.
As a platform running under Windows, the user can load and use third-party applications that perform many other tasks on the same unit. This unit allows for the capture of Cellphone/Tablets, and also runs Triage application, which are among the most critical tools in the Forensic field acquisition today.
“It is a perfect tool for running Triage!” says Ezra Kohavi, President and CEO of MediaClone Inc. “Our philosophy in the design of this product was to give the Forensic investigator working in the field a tool which is very affordable, but still provides maximum performance by allowing for quick Forensic Imaging and while running a Triage application.”
