Thank you for presenting the Cancer Support Centre with the amazing cheque

Sutton Coldfield, West Midlands (PRWEB UK) 30 July 2014

Over the last 18 months, Gemini Professional Financial Group has been touched with both staff and clients having been affected by cancer. With this in mind, Gemini decided to increase it’s corporate social responsibility focus and nominate a Charity Partner for 2014.

After consideration, Gemini chose Sutton Coldfield Cancer Support Centre, a locally based charity based just 2 miles from our head office.

Our most recent event, was ‘Afternoon Tea on the Lawn’ hosted by Gemini for clients, supporters and volunteers at the centre’s facility in Lindridge Road. At the event, Gemini Director, Jason Moore, took the time to present a cheque for £1,640.

Jason comments “Every year, Gemini host a golf day for its own clients and over the past couple of years, we have added a charity element to the day. We have been able to raise over £3,500 to date, and have been keen to support local charities and organisations.”

Fellow Gemini director, Amanda Reid adds “This year, with our Charity Partner in place, all money raised on the day, was presented to Sutton Cancer Centre to continue the vital work they do in the local community. I know the centre is much appreciated by all who use it, and we are glad that we are able to support them wherever we can.”

Patricia Brighton, Fundraising Trustee for the Cancer Support Centre concludes “Thank you for presenting the Cancer Support Centre with the amazing cheque for £1,640 from your golf charity event and also for providing all our Ladies (and gentleman) with the delicious afternoon tea. We raised another £467 from this event which will all go towards providing care/support and free holistic treatments to anyone in the Local Community that has been diagnosed with Cancer.”

“Everyone had a wonderful afternoon and it is so good to provide some normality to our clients going through their Cancer journey the choir which is made up of clients and volunteers sang at 3pm which rounded of the afternoon the only problem was that everyone enjoyed themselves so much they did not want to go home!”
