Colonel Dave Dotterrer’s Candidacy for State Senate Endorsed by Oregon’s Largest Small Business Association
Medford, OR (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- NFIB/SAFE Trust Oregon Chapter is the state’s largest small business association with some 7,500 small businesses throughout the state. Small business represents an overwhelming majority of the total businesses in Oregon—especially in Jackson County—and employs more than half of the private sector workforce in the state.
“By receiving the endorsement of the NFIB/Oregon Dave has proven his willingness and ability to fight for small business in Salem. He understands the importance of small business to our state’s economy,” explained Jan D. Meekcoms, Oregon State Director NFIB. “He has also demonstrated that he will fight to protect our free enterprise system and we appreciate his efforts.”
“I am honored to accept this important endorsement and recognition by the NFIB, and will continue to fight hard for small businesses in Southern Oregon,” said Dave Dotterrer, candidate Oregon State Senate, District 3. “Small businesses are critical to getting our economy back on track and creating jobs for Southern Oregonians. It’s important that we provide the environment and incentives necessary to allow small business to flourish in Southern Oregon.”
Dave continued, “I find it troubling that every politician, whether Republican or Democrat, listed jobs and the economy as their first priority in the previous election and all legislative sessions. In the end, however, the Oregon legislature did very little to create jobs and strengthen the economy. My #1 priority is to provide jobs for Southern Oregonians.”
“I will help create local, family wage jobs right here in Jackson County by renewing, reinvigorating, and revitalizing the private-sector economy through a pro-free-enterprise environment. I propose the following for Oregon:
• Foster new businesses both large and small
• Shift the emphasis from controlling enterprise to serving it
• Use our natural resources to their sustainable potential
• Increase job opportunities via business-friendly tactics
• Extend the Nike tax incentives to all businesses to create tax equity for small businesses
As your state senator, I will help change how business is done in the great state of Oregon,” emphasized Dave.
