Flatiron Health Inc. Expands Fivefold, Relocates to 96 Spring Street through Savills Studley
New York, NY (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Flatiron Health Inc., a New York City-based healthcare technology company that recently raised $130 million in a Series B financing round, is relocating its headquarters and expanding its office space by 12,000 square feet.
The company’s new lease of 15,000 square feet comprises the entire 7th and 8th floors of 96 Spring Street. Flatiron was represented by global commercial real estate services firm, Savills Studley.
Flatiron Health currently occupies 3,000 square feet at 291 Broadway and expects to relocate immediately in order to accommodate a wave of recent hires, nearly quintupling its Manhattan real estate footprint.
Savills Studley’s Corporate Managing Director Zev J. Holzman along with Executive Managing Director Paul Revson and associate Ryan Rafter represented the tenant in the transaction, while Gus Field, Vice Chairman of Cushman & Wakefield represented the landlord, Midwood Investment and Development.
According to Mr. Holzman, Savills Studley was able to secure “built, move in ready space with the appropriate aesthetic for a technology firm” on the 7th and 8th floors which were left behind from Two Sigma, after their recent relocation to 101 Avenue of the Americas.
“Flatiron has been growing at a rapid pace and had a desire to relocate its headquarters immediately to space that was in a vibrant, energetic neighborhood, and that also possessed the physical attributes, that represent its culture,” explained Holzman. “The fact that we were able to meet all of the company’s objectives, providing them with headquarters on two contiguous floors with a private roof deck really drew our client to the deal.”
Situated on the top two floors of the 8-story, 48,800 square-foot building, Flatiron Health’s new headquarters space also includes access to an exclusive, tenant dedicated roof deck overlooking the Lower Manhattan skyline, which the Landlord will be building out for the firm.
