Hot Springs National Park, AR (PRWEB) August 05, 2014 -- From Oct 23rd - Oct 26th the festival screens films in the Horror, Thriller and Sci-Fi genres, bringing together filmmakers, celebrities & fans from around the world. The premier of the Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival brought together celebrity guests including: Actor Tyler Mane, known for his roles as “Michael Myers” in Rob Zombieʼs Halloween films and Sabertooth in the Marvel Comicʼs Movie X-MEN. Actress Eileen Dietz known for her roles in The Exorcist, Planet of the Apes, Helter Skelter, and Constantine. Horror film Director Jeff Burr, his films include Leatherface: Texas Chainsaw Massacre Iii, Stepfather Ii, and Pumpkinhead II. Writer/Director David Schmoeller, with credits that include Crawlspace, Ghost Town, Catacombs and the cult classic PuppetMaster for Paramount Pictures. Eric England Writer/Director, his recent films include Contracted and Madison County.
Have a howl of a good time watching films and film crews. The film Howl of a Good Time, will be made with crew including Patrick Rea, who released "Nailbitter" through Lionsgate Ent., Bart Mastronardi, Professor of Cinematography at the New York Film Academy, Eileen Dietz and more will be on site. Watch LEVIATHAN, (a 32’ film camera crane made by UNIVERSAL STUDIOS) it will be used in the filming. The hollywood camera crane was used by the horror master himself, “Alfred Hitchcock.” on films (PHSYCO" and DIAL M FOR MURDER). The festival was conceived by filmmakers for filmmakers. The festival’s director Bill Volland, (a filmmaker) known for his art direction on motion pictures, television series & commercials. The festival’s hostess Tamara Glynn (a filmmaker) an actress known for her roles in motion pictures, television & commercials. She is best known for her role as "Samantha Thomas" in the movie HALLOWEEN 5 (The Revenge of Michael Myers). This years festival co hostess is Renae Geerlings, (a filmmaker) known for her role in the movie HALLOWEEN 2, she is co founder of “Mane Entertainment.” The independent film production companies other co founder is Tyler Mane, (known for his roles as "Michael Myers" in HALLOWEEN films) Other guests include Leslie Easterbrook and others.
In 2014 the Hot Springs International Horror Film Festival will present its Lifetime Achievement Award to Hot Springs own Ted Hatfield. Ted’s rise through the entertainment industry started at 13 years old, at the Paramount Theater in Hot Springs, AR. After many years at ABC Paramount Theaters, MGM Studios and Sony Picture Studios, he currently handles special projects & marketing at Regal Entertainment Group (Regal Group's brands include Regal Cinemas, Edwards Cinemas and United Artists Cinemas). He is a member of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, Motion Pictures Pioneers of Canada and the US, and has been honored by the film industry for his achievements in marketing. He will give a film-marketing seminar, “from Hot Springs to Hollywood” that will include a special screening of the film “The Oscar Legacy”

The Theater of Horror designed by scareologist John Burton and film & television art director Bill Volland. The Theater of Horror is a hybrid of horror amusements, it's part movie, part play, and part walk through haunted attraction. The THEATER of HORROR is open the month of October-November 2nd, 2014 and is a fundraiser for the Hot Springs Arts & Film Institute.
