Launched in 2012 by veteran anesthesiologist Dr. Jason Burke, Hangover Heaven surpassed 20,000 hangovers earlier this year at its Vegas location. Having exceeded that benchmark, Hangover Heaven prepares for expansion and the publication of research data related to the 20,000 plus veisalgia cases treated at the medical practice.
The only licensed medical practice dedicated to the study, prevention and treatment of veisalgia, Hangover Heaven launched in 2012 and treated thousands of patients within the first months of opening its doors. Comprised of a traditional brick and mortar clinic, a 24 hour room service component, and a 49 ft renovated tour bus equipped to treat 15-20 patients simultaneously, Hangover Heaven flew by the 20,000 mark earlier this year. With that benchmark behind him, Dr. Burke and his team are now preparing to open the next Hangover Heaven location within the next few months. Others are slated to follow shortly thereafter.
"Even though we've been approached by investors to expand since we first opened our doors, we knew we wouldn't launch the next location until we had exceeded specific milestones with the Vegas clinic. Now that we've done the work we need to do at home, we are looking forward to taking Hangover Heaven to other cities in the US and abroad," stated Dr. Burke.
The next Hangover Heaven medical clinic is slated to open within the next few months.
In addition to expansion plans, surpassing 20,000 hangovers has also positioned Hangover Heaven and the Hangover Research Institute (HRI) to publish research data related to the 20,000 veisalgia cases Dr. Burke and his medical team have treated.
According to Dr. Burke, "Hangover Heaven - in conjunction with Dr. Cohen and the HRI - has produced some interesting research data on veisalgia that will impact how we treat and prevent hangovers moving forward."
Dr. Cohen, Dr. Burke and a team of researchers have been compiling and analyzing the data for over six months. They anticipate the publication of the first round of findings within the next three to six months.
