Hosts to Discuss Technology in the Expanding ‘Internet of Things’ at Corepoint Health User Conference

The pace of technological innovation has always been rapid, but right now we're seeing more innovation in the health, fitness and medical fields than just about any other area.

Two of the tech world’s most recognizable celebrities, Cali Lewis and John Pozadzides, will speak at Corepoint Connect 14, Corepoint Health’s annual user conference, Oct. 1-4 in Plano, Texas. Lewis and Pozadzides are hosts of, a technology news publisher with millions of weekly viewers.

Lewis and Pozadzides will speak about how technology is becoming connected through the “Internet of Things,” a term that refers to the advanced connectivity of technology across all fields that experts predict will usher in the next industrial revolution and create a $7.1 trillion global market by 2020.

According to Lewis, “The pace of technological innovation has always been rapid, but right now we're seeing more innovation in the health, fitness and medical fields than just about any other area. John and I are looking forward to addressing what the future holds and how health and well-being products will affect our lives.”

Corepoint Connect 2014 will be held in Plano, Texas, at the Marriott at Legacy Town Center and will include formal training sessions on Corepoint Integration Engine, Meaningful Use, health information exchange, and other relevant healthcare integration topics.

The hosts, also based in the Dallas area, will get Corepoint Connect 14 started by introducing a sense of excitement for the work health IT professionals perform daily while working to build and maintain a modern, connected healthcare system.

“Cali and I are excited to spend time speaking with the Corepoint community because it’s obviously a group that understands what interoperability entails,” Pozadzides said. “We look forward to broadening the discussion beyond healthcare and examining how technology will affect all aspects of future living. This allows us to cross-pollinate ideas from other fields of interest. Also, it's fun to predict the future.”
