Strangers Come Together to Form Diabetes Website: Real Messages of Hope and Inspiration
Oklahoma City, OK (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- The Diabetes Daily Grind had its beginnings in Oklahoma City, but it’s Founders, Amber Clour and Ryan Fightmaster hope to gain attention for the website on a worldwide level.
Officially launched on July 26th of this year, Clour and Fightmaster started this website to provide real support for others living the diabetic life. By sharing stories on their lessons learned, hardships had, dreams pursued and inspirations, they believe other diabetics will find ways to live with their diabetes, and not be bound by it.
"As people with diabetes, we always hear about the research and the superstars with the disease playing professional sports,” said Co-Founder Fightmaster. “I never heard about how to live a real life. That's why I'm doing this. To share the journey with everyone looking to make the most out of today.”
Their site is targeted toward people with Type 1 Diabetes and takes an adult-styled witty look into understanding and living with this disease. Focused on gaining relevant and widespread attention, The Diabetes Daily Grind was recently chosen as a Staff Pick on the Kickstarter website; Kickstarter is a platform and resource website that funds creative projects.
“Diagnosed at age 8, I never thought I would live to see my 20th anniversary with diabetes,” Co-Founder Amber Clour added. “Now in my 30th year, I want to be sure that every T1D understands there are no limits as to what you can achieve. Dream big and live life to the fullest.”
The Diabetes Daily Grind is a weekly updated blog, which can be accessed at http://www.diabetesdailygrind.com. Readers of the blog can subscribe to a newsletter and contribute to the blog.
