Visit My Smokies: Food Network Stars Open New Cupcake Shop in Pigeon Forge
Sevierville, Tenn. (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- The battle of the Cupcake Wars is over, and Pigeon Forge, Tenn. has won.
On July 23, 2014, Food Network stars Nikki Gribble and Susan Catron opened a brand new cupcake shop in Pigeon Forge called The Sweet Shoppe of the South. The two ladies are best known for being winners of The Food Network’s hit show Cupcake Wars.
Inside The Sweet Shoppe, guests will find a wide selection of gourmet cupcakes in all shapes and sizes. Many of the flavors found in the new cupcake shop in Pigeon Forge are ones made famous Gribble and Catron’s appearances on Cupcake Wars. These flavors include the Bohemian Wedding, Strawberry Shortcake, PB&J, French Toast & Bacon and more.
In addition to cupcakes, the new Pigeon Forge shop also features a wide variety of caramel and chocolate dipped Granny Smith Apples, the ladies’ award-winning chocolate-dipped pretzels, truffles, macarons, cheesecake and freshly-baked cookies. The inventory of the cupcake shop in Pigeon Forge changes constantly because all of the sweets sold there are made fresh daily.

Jimmy Buffett’s Margaritaville, Mellow Mushroom Pizza Bakers, Dick’s Last Resort and Timberwood Grill are the other popular Pigeon Forge restaurants found at The Island in Pigeon Forge.
