Got Your 6 Eyes Expansion with Executive Hires
Washington, DC (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- Got Your 6, the entertainment industry-backed collective impact campaign, has added three new associates, as a part of the campaign’s continued growth and commitment to bridging the civilian-military divide. Cindy Goldberg joins Got Your 6 as director of development, Kate Hoit as director of communications and Julia Tivald as the director of strategy.
“Over the last two years, Got Your 6 has seen tremendous growth and overall campaign support as we lead the veteran empowerment movement,” said Chris Marvin, managing director of the Got Your 6 campaign. “Cindy, Kate, and Julia bring experience, creativity, and a passion for the cause that will allow us to continue this trajectory.”
As director of development, Cindy Goldberg is responsible for the expansion and execution of the campaign’s fundraising activities. She focuses primarily on corporate and foundation relations, stewardship, and special events. Goldberg brings with her extensive experience in the nonprofit and philanthropy space.
Serving as the nonprofit’s director of communications, Army veteran Kate Hoit will be responsible for creating multichannel communication strategy for Got your 6 to expand the reach and influence of the campaign’s message. A former Pat Tillman Military Scholar and Truman Defense Council Member, Hoit previously worked at the U.S. Department of Veteran Affairs where she developed digital engagement and Congressional communications policy.
In her role as director of strategy, Julia Tivald will focus on long-term strategic planning and program implementation for the campaign, in addition to serving as the liaison between Got Your 6 and its more than 30 nonprofit partners. Before joining the campaign, Tivald completed a year of national service as a member of the AmeriCorps VISTA program.
This recent expansion comes on the heels of the campaign’s inaugural Vetfronts summit, which included the launch of a cultural campaign to promote accurate portrayals of veterans in film and television and the induction of some of the entertainment industry’s most prolific independent producers into the Got Your 6 consortium.
Got Your 6 is continuing to make strides towards changing the narrative around veterans and military families. The campaign recently launched their newest celebrity PSA and a completed a second successful partnership with Macy’s “American Icons” campaign.
