Essentia Announces New Project With AT&T to Improve In-Stadium Experience at The University of Wisconsin
Charlotte, NC (PRWEB) July 29, 2014 -- Ben Barger, Executive Director of Essentia, Inc. announced that Essentia, in conjunction with AT&T, will work together on a new high-density Wi-Fi network and IPTV system that will bring enhanced connectivity to Camp Randall Stadium at The University of Wisconsin this Fall. The result will be an enhanced Wi-Fi system for a better network experience to surf the Internet, check scores and share on social media sites in the 80,000-plus seat venue.
“We are creating a high standard for connectivity in our stadium and providing a wide variety of additional content to our fans. We want Badger football fans to have a memorable experience in our venue and this project will go a long way toward assisting us,” said UW Director of Athletics Barry Alvarez.
The IPTV solution will distribute video and digital content on 700 high definition screens. The new solution will enable the university to deliver customized video, team, sponsor and relevant event information to any combination of monitors throughout the venue; create unique interactive opportunities to engage fans; and feature expanded content on three video walls placed throughout the venue.
“Today’s fans demand enhanced connectivity—whether it’s texting or tweeting or sharing play-by-play events on social media in real time. We’re very excited to be working with AT&T and the University of Wisconsin to enhance the game experience for their sports fans,” says Barger.
