Scarborough, North Yorkshire (PRWEB UK) 30 July 2014
Ben Sherman has returned to the top of Atom Retro's best seller list for the first time for 12 months following strong sales in the early Autumn season. Heritage British brand, Ben Sherman which has its roots in 1960s Brighton, has been a staple of the Atom Retro brand offering since 2009.
Menswear buyer, Alister Poulton says, 'Ben Sherman has clearly been our best selling brand for July, and we couldn't be happier with the new collection. Ben Sherman always tends to send in new season earlier than other suppliers, and I think that's helped lift sales. We always view it as something of an essential on our website, but Ben Sherman's been going through some changes in the last couple of seasons and we feels that's impacted its sell through for us. The new collection contains some excellent new shirts styles, polos, tailoring elements and jackets, all of which have taken off already.'
Famous for the button down shirt, Ben Sherman's new collection reflects this as well as their 1960s and mod heritage and history. Highlights include classic Oxford and gingham check shirts, an extrovert paisley pattern shirt and roller stripe shirts - an essential in the mod wardrobe. This season also sees the Ben Sherman shirt move into a slightly more premium price bracket with special shirts such as the 'Foliage' print shirt, priced at £94.99.
The Ben Sherman 'Harrymac' jacket is also proving a popular choice, as Alister explains. 'Despite the really hot weather we've been having, Ben Sherman's new 'Harrymac' has been really caught on, so much so we're hoping this style might become a regular feature int he Ben Sherman range.' The 'Harrymac' is a clever hybrid of the traditional raincoat and a harrington jacket - a raincoat shape and length with harrington style collar, pockets and button cuff. 'Here's a harrington style you can wear into the Autumn and Winter,' says Alister. 'All the classic style of the mod harrington jacket, but with longer length, making it perfect for the coming Autumn months.' The 'Harrymac' is currently available at Atom Retro in black or 'moon' (stone).
