The Morgantown WV Personal Injury Attorneys at the Robinette Legal Group, PLLC Support Ronald McDonald House Fundraiser
Morgantown, WV (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- The Robinette Legal Group, PLLC Morgantown Personal Injury Lawyers were pleased to support the 19th annual Ronald McDonald House Poker Run on July 12, 2014, the charity’s most successful fundraiser of the year.
Motorcycle riders started at Triple S Harley Davidson at their new Gateway Center and followed a prescribed course. The participants drew cards at designated stops along the way as they tried to make the best poker hand in order to win the $1,000 first place and $500 second place prizes. All proceeds from the Poker Run benefit Ronald McDonald House Charities, Morgantown, WV to benefit the families of critically ill children and support them during their time of need.
Fifty bikers pre-registered for the event, and many more signed up at Triple S Harley Davidson in Morgantown on the day of the event. Some riders have been participating for more than ten years and say it is a fun way to enjoy riding with friends to help a great cause.
The Ronald McDonald House of Morgantown provides a home away from home for the families of seriously ill children receiving treatment at the WVU Children’s Hospital. Families travel from all over the state to benefit from the excellent care at the Children’s Hospital.
Those families who live more than fifty miles from Morgantown are eligible to benefit from the 16 overnight sleeping rooms – each equipped with two twin beds and private bath and shower, two fully functional kitchens, stocked pantry, dining area, living room with TV, toys, games, books and movies, game room with computer access, video games, puzzles and other activities, laundry facility (detergent provided!).
Parents who need to stay close to their child’s room during the most critical hours of care now also benefit from the Ronald McDonald Family Room at the WVU Children’s Hospital.
The Family Room is a place of comfort and convenience and provides a place for families to relax, nap, shower, eat, and care for other children just steps from the Pediatric ICU. If you have ever spent time at the hospital with young, healthy children, it is easy to imagine how this new, well-planned facility will help families through long and difficult days.
