Aventura, FL Local Business Disaster Due to Lighting, Keeping One Business Alive and Well

Aventura, FL – On Monday July 14th, 2014 lightning struck a transformer at the City National Bank building located at 2875 NE 191 St in Aventura, Florida where the Klein, Mendez, & Rothbard, LLC, offices are located. No one realized just how disastrous the situation would be. The transformer subsequently blew up temporarily shutting down more than 50 businesses in the building. After most of the day went by before the transformer was replaced, KMR employees watched as the power was restored. However, upon restoration, polarity was reversed and a small electrical fire started in the offices. As of today July 31st the building still has no power.

This series of events left the Aventura CPA office without power and partner Marty Rothbard very concerned about his ability to keep the business operating. Thanks to the disaster recovery and business continuity plan implemented by Nerds Support his employees are able to work from home, but it would be more than two weeks before power was expected to be restored. Rothbard stated “At the beginning, I figured it was a big deal.
