Dallas, Texas (PRWEB) July 30, 2014
Trent Rexing, attorney at Kane Russell Coleman and Logan PC, was one of the 40 attorneys accepted to the 2014 Dallas Association of Young Lawyers (DAYL) Leadership Class.
Since 1997, the DAYL Leadership Program seeks to identify and assist attorneys who desire to become more involved in their community and local bar associations. Each year the DAYL Leadership Committee selects a “Leadership Class” from many applications submitted from solo practitioners, big and small firm associates, government lawyers, and in-house counsel.
Class members learn about the city of Dallas, involvement opportunities in non-profit organizations, bar association events, and city politics. They also have the opportunity to attend presentations and learn valuable lessons from speakers like the mayor, city council members, judges, presidents of various Chambers of Commerce, charitable foundations, and state and local bar leaders.
Each class organizes a community service project using the knowledge they gain from their involvement in the Dallas area. Past projects include the Freedom Run, the Lupus Benefit Ball, the School Supply Drive & Field Day at J.W. Ray Elementary School, and Poker for Playgrounds. The DAYL Leadership Program has become a model for bar associations across the state.
"We are very proud of Trent for being selected amongst so many worthy applicants," says Director, Zach Mayer. "The DAYL Leadership Class is a great opportunity for him."
