Soka Performing Arts Center 2014-15 Season Packages on Sale Now
Aliso Viejo, CA (PRWEB) July 31, 2014 -- Season Ticket Packages for the Soka Performing Arts Center are now on sale for the Sundays At Soka series, the International Symphony series, the Chamber Music series, the Jazz Monsters series, and the Soka International Jazz Festival series. Each package contains multiple events and offers significant discounts over single ticket prices. Visit the individual series pages for more information about what is in store for this season.
This year, the Sundays At Soka series will highlight Favorite Violin Concertos and will feature three outstanding young violin soloists. The first performance on November 16th will showcase Chad Hoopes performing the Mendelssohn Concerto in E minor for Violin and Orchestra. In January, violinist Chee-Yun Kim will join maestro Carl St.Clair for Bruch’s Concerto No. 1 in G minor. To wind up the season, Tchaikovsky’s Concerto in D Major for Violin and Orchestra will be performed by Mayuko Kamio.
Single tickets to each performance will be $49.00, with a discounted price of $39.00 for students and seniors 62 and older. However, by purchasing all three shows at one time, the package price drops to $102.00 and just $72.00 for students and seniors. That is a savings of $45.00 – almost like getting one show for free. Season Packages will only be available until the day of the first performance of the series. After that, regular single ticket prices will apply.
The International Symphony series will feature three outstanding orchestras from around the world. In January, the St. Petersburg State Symphony Orchestra will return with conductor Vladimir Lande at the helm and guest pianist Andrei Gavrilov performing Rachmaninoff’s Piano Concerto No. 3. In February, the world renowned conductor, Charles Dutoit, will lead L’Orchestre de la Suisse Romande and guest pianist Nikolai Lugansky in a program featuring works by Stravinsky, Rachmaninoff, Debussy, and Ravel. Then in March, we celebrate the return of the Academy of St. Martin in the Fields and the return of pianist Jeremy Denk to the Soka PAC stage. The program will include: Stravinsky’s Concerto in D and Apollo, and Bach’s Keyboard Concerto No. 1 in D minor and Keyboard Concerto No. 5 in F minor.
Single tickets to each performance will be $59.00, with a discounted price of $49.00 for students and seniors 62 and older. However, by purchasing all three shows at one time, the package price drops to $117.00 and just $87.00 for students and seniors – a total package savings of $60.00.
The Chamber Music series features six outstanding events this year, with artists ranging from an international choir to one of the most brilliant young pianists performing today. Complete details can be found on the Chamber Events information page. Single ticket prices will range from $25 to $49 depending on the event. The six event package price is just $166.00, and $116 for students and seniors. Total package savings is from $64.00 to $68.00.
The Jazz Monsters Series and the Soka International Jazz Festival return for another exciting year of great jazz. Single tickets remain at a very reasonable price of $29.00 and just $25.00 for students and seniors for all of the performances. The four performance Festival package price is just $88.00 ($72.00 for students and seniors), and the Jazz Monsters package price is $132.00 for six great shows, $108.00 for students and seniors.
