Coach Dave Williams Statue -Dave Williams Made an Impact on Thousands of People’s Lives Through His Occupation as a Football Coach
Provo, Utah (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- Dave Williams made an impact on thousands of people’s lives through his occupation as a football coach. Upon his death, at age 70, his loved ones decided to create a statue in his honor.
A group of his past students and players ran a successful fundraiser targeted towards raising enough funds to donate a commemoration statue to Pocahontas High School, where Williams worked.
The students described him as a “beloved man.” The teens he led remember him fondly as the men that helped them create a better life for themselves.
Former co-worker, Bill Dawson, stated, "Coaches often talk about impact players, but Dave Williams was an impact person, guiding, loving and leading thousands…."
Those reason, in addition to countless others have all contributed to this moment. A statue is currently being crafted in Big Statues’ Studio in Provo, Utah.
Head Sculptor, Matt Glenn, stated that he feels honored to work on such a personal statue that so many people have a connection to.
Scheduled to be competed during football season; thousands are waiting with excited anticipation to view the finished statue of their incredible Coach Dave Williams.
