Icing Images Extends Hands-On Learning at International Cake Explorations Societe’
Winchester, VA (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- July 31st, Icing Images will feature creative activity stations led by renowned cake decorators at their booths 517 - 519 – 521 throughout the International Cake Exploration Societe’ Convention in Albuquerque, New Mexico to teach bakers and cake decorators how to work with their time saving products to decorate cakes, cupcakes, cookies and other desserts.
Peggy Tucker, CMSA, School of Cakeology; Susan Carberry, Cake Cottage; Michele Hopps, Epicurean Delights; Karen Vazquez, Kakes by Karen; Jason Everett; Teri Tarbox, Simply Cakelicious and Theresa Parkin; Cavalier Cakes will be teaching ICES attendees to work with Icing Images’ new edible medium, DECOgel™ at the “Gem Creation Station”, how to decorate cakes with cut and embossed icing sheets using the Spellbinders® Sweet Accents™ and the versatility of Icing Images’ Premium Icing Sheets™ at the iDesign™ Printing playground.
ICES attendees will receive a free sample of DECOgel with tutorial in their goodie bags to take home or work with at the DECOgel Gem Creation Station to be eligible to earn a free tub of DECOgel. Icing Images will award prizes three times per day throughout the show.
Icing Images will also debut their fall line of food safe die cutters designed for the Sweet Accents food safe die cutting and embossing system. The new designs include: Cathedral Window, Chevron Mania, Tres Medallions, Happy Birthday, Paisley, Lower Case Alphabet and Navajo Weave.
The Sweet Accents system is the only food safe die cutting and embossing system on the market, allowing users to create decorations for desserts using icing sheets.
DECOgel is a gelatin-based medium that offers the appearance of Isomalt but melts at a lower temperature in the microwave, making it safer to work with and easier to use. DECOgel can mimic many of the decorations created by pouring sugar, with the exception of creating stand-alone pieces.
The International Cake Explorations Societe’ (ICES) Convention will be open to the public through Sunday, August 3rd at the Albuquerque Convention Center, offering hands-on classes, a cake showroom and shopping to the public.
“We’re looking forward to letting the ICES attendees come play with our decorating tools and mediums so they can see for themselves how easy they make decorating cakes with little or no skill required.” – Deborah Coughlin, Icing Images owner.
Icing Images has been a leading distributor of edible photo and edible paper art supplies for over a decade, offering edible ink printers, edible ink, icing sheets, electronic and manual die cutters, and DECOgel to retail bakeries, home bakers and cake decorators.
