Imperative Information Group is located in Fort Worth, Texas and serves small and medium-sized employers. In 1999, he founded the firm that became Imperative Information Group. From the beginning, Mike's goal has been for Imperative to be the preferred source of background investigations firms who recognize the value of reliable due diligence.
Mike Coffey's Presentation Schedule:
October 6: Developing a Criminal History Evaluation Tool: In this presentation, you will learn to develop a criminal history relevance matrix as a tool for documenting policies with regard to the impact of individuals' criminal histories on their employment eligibility.
October 8: Outside of the Box: Developing a Legally Compliant and Effective Criminal History Inquiry: Nationwide, the “ban the box” movement is limiting when and what employers can ask applicants about their criminal history. Federal agencies like the EEOC, state legislatures, and even municipalities have weighed in on this topic, leaving employers in a quandary as to how to make an informed hiring decision without running afoul of myriad laws. In this one-hour presentation, he will examine the issues surrounding “ban the box” and potential responses from employers.
Join Mike Coffey and more than 100 educational sessions from thought-leading speakers and numerous networking events at the 73rd annual HRSouthwest educational and networking event October 5-8, 2014 at the Fort Worth Convention Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
