Cendyn Arcaneo® Taps Starwood Executive as Vice President, Strategic Accounts
Boca Raton, FL (PRWEB) July 30, 2014 -- David Dvorak CMP, the former Vice President of Catering and Event Management for Starwood Hotels & Resorts Worldwide, will join Cendyn Arcaneo, in a newly created role -- Vice President, Strategic Accounts.
The new appointment was announced today by Cendyn Arcaneo President, Robin Deyo. "David's excellent work in designing and establishing event marketing programs which helped generate $10 million in annual returns while at Starwood, is the kind of proven success that fits perfectly with Cendyn Arcaneo. His track record for new initiatives and processes in a changing event planning industry resulted in revenue growth and reduced operating expenses, which will be a great asset to the strides we are making in developing leading-edge solutions in Strategic Meeting Management (SMM) for meeting planners, enterprises and suppliers, alongside our flagship Metron application," Mrs. Deyo said.
Mr. Dvorak, who is credited with achieving over $1.75 billion in food, beverage and ancillary revenues annually while at Starwood, that consistently met or exceeded budget, will lead new product configuration sales strategy and services for Cendyn Arcaneo® with particular focus on the meeting planning industry.
Mr. Dvorak’s main priority will be to foster new travel and hospitality industry relationships and sales for the company. He will also assist in Cendyn Arcaneo’s ongoing development of product upgrades for Metron and Metron Express. In addition Mr. Dvorak will act as consultant on future releases of Cendyn Arcaneo products.
With over 30 years in the industry, Mr. Dvorak has also been a board member and President for the Event Service Professionals Association (ESPA). Mr. Dvorak is also a long time member of PCMA, MPI and ASAE, participating in conference committees and as a speaker.
Mr. Dvorak’s exceptional volunteer efforts earned him ESPA’s prestigious Member of the Year and Presidents award. Mr. Dvorak will continue to participate in travel/planner associations representing Cendyn Arcaneo and its support of the meetings and events industry.
Prior to his work for Starwood, Mr. Dvorak served as Director of Convention and Event Services at Sheraton New York Hotel & Towers. He was also previously Executive Director of Convention and Banquet operations at both Bally’s and Paris Las Vegas. Earlier in his career, Mr. Dvorak served as Director of Convention Services at the New York Hilton, Executive Vice President of Housing and Registration for Conference Direct and was a Meeting Planner with the National Association of Fleet Administrators.
