Danielle Supkis Cheek recognized as a Texas Society of CPA’s 2014 Rising Star
Houston, TX (PRWeb) (PRWEB) August 01, 2014 -- Danielle Supkis Cheek, CPA, CFE, CVA, was one of 20 CPAs to be honored recently with a 2014 Rising Star award by the Texas Society of CPA’s (TSCPA).
This award recognizes CPA members 40 years old and younger who have demonstrated exemplary leadership skills and active involvement in TSCPA, the accounting profession, and/or their communities.
The TSCPA is a non-profit professional organization representing Texas CPAs. TSCPA has 20 local chapters statewide and has 27,000 members.

Danielle Supkis Cheek started D. Supkis Cheek, PLLC in 2013 to carter to the accounting needs of small and medium sized businesses. D. Supkis Cheek, PLLC’s service offerings include audits, reviews, compilations, agreed upon procedures, consulting, forensic accounting, and expert witness services.
She is a Certified Public Account (CPA) in the State of Texas, a Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE) from the Association of Certified Fraud Examiner, a Certified Valuation Analyst (CVA) from the National Association of Certified Valuators and Analysts, and has a Certificate in International Financial Reporting (CertIFR) from the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants in the United Kingdom.
Danielle is a National Vice President for the American Woman’s Society of CPAs, a Past President of the Houston Affiliate of the American Woman’s Society of CPAs, and was a recipient of the Woman of Excellence Award by the Federation of Houston Professional. Danielle also sits on the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants GenNext Task Force and the Woman’s Initiative Executive Committee Champions Task Force.
Danielle is a member of the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants (TSCPA), and is a member of the American Institute for Certified Public Accountants (AICPA). She is a frequent lecturer on the accounting needs of private companies. Danielle is also passionate about teaching financial literacy and is a regular teacher and is the Secretary of the Finance Committee for the Woman’s Resource Center of Greater Houston. Danielle was also recently selected as a subject matter expert for Rice University's entrepreneurship accelerator, OwlSpark.
Danielle received her Bachelor of Arts from Rice University her Masters of Science in Accountancy from the University of Virginia.
